defining who we are
is technology defining who we are? we enter our preferences we explain ourselves and our characteristics, our music taste film choice, edit through our favourite photos and friends.
one mile
managed to lock myself out of the flat, i blame it on mali, if she were around i wouldn't be so disorganised. but these things happen for a reason if they can't be sorted in five minuets. so it was a beautiful evening and i was left outside with my t-shirt jeans a couple quid and no bag or sketch book. great light. called lara and stayed with her and mart- helped dig-up an old root in their garden and went to the cinema to see bourne. great sound.afterwards driving back with them in the back of their van we saw all of torquay in its finery all lit up- everyone staring at the fair with a big beautiful moon behind them.
One mile, i'm thinking of putting out a one mile team blog in which we can all dicuss the various artistic projects eveyone's on possibly raise enough cash to then fund the hardcopy.

progress
if progress weren't blind it wouldn't happen. i reckon. finished the long shift behind the bar with and ready for a short break , back in the bosom of Coombe for the evening, quiet at the moment owing to lack of people- aside from the remnants of a stag party. Think ill take the chance to play in the studio while OSX 4.10 downloads and i can get started with the new InDesign package.
throbbing eyes
woke up unsure of where i was, which considering i only spend my time within a twenty minute radial sweep is a little unnerving. also my eyes appeared to slightly throb or tick and have been for the past couple days.. last night i didn't drink much, i worked behind the bar and played harmonica with Ray to a bunch of Londeners as Johnny thundered away voice booming a neck straining. i think i'll blame the eyes on the computer. i'm trying out this facebook thing. just how connected does everyone have to be? Callum in Australia wrote on my 'wall' (typed a note) seems he's well and has a load of ideas that we could tie in with stella maris, how is my only question. Beautiful day outside, InDesign C3 has just about downloaded, then it's off to help the extended family move a t.v before heading down to work at the pub. Mali is well and good in Stockholm.

the first thread

i'm going to use this as a way of jotting down thoughts as i seem to spend so much time on the laptop now. i'm going to use it to jot down questions and to pose answers, i'm going to use it as a loose diary and see how 'loose' with a laptop i can be. we'll see.
Today broke with the realisation that mali was no longer in my bed and that the flat was empty. then the realisation that this is how it'll be until december. On the 30th i'll get back to work at the college and before then i have work for HSP and Caston to deal with also the drink fest which is the regatta.
